01 Acceptance
By using trustbadge.dev, pressing a TrustBadge verification control in a participating VRChat world, operating a world that uses TrustBadge, or accessing the administrative tools, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
02 Service Scope
TrustBadge is an age-access coordination service for VRChat worlds. It checks whether a VRChat account carries VRChat's own account-level 18+ verification status and stores a limited result so participating worlds can recognize that account later. TrustBadge does not inspect identity documents, determine a person's age independently, or replace a world owner's moderation responsibilities.
03 Eligibility
You must have a valid VRChat account, satisfy VRChat's requirements, and be legally able to accept these Terms. Restricted areas remain limited to users whose accounts return an eligible status. A TrustBadge result is not permission to violate VRChat rules, local law, or a participating world's rules.
04 Verification Consent
When you intentionally start verification, you authorize TrustBadge to resolve your displayed VRChat name to the permanent account ID behind it, retrieve the account's age-verification status through the VRChat API, store the fields identified in the Privacy Policy, and return an access result to the participating world. You may stop before submitting the request.
05 Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Impersonate another user or attempt to transfer a verification result between accounts
- Probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, bypass, or interfere with the service or its rate limits
- Submit automated or deceptive requests, abuse world tags, or falsify client messages
- Use TrustBadge to violate law, VRChat's terms, or another person's rights
- Publish product keys, administrative credentials, private endpoints, or security details that enable abuse
06 World Owner Duties
World owners are responsible for their world content, access rules, notices, moderation, Discord webhook, and compliance obligations. They must use the official package as documented, protect product keys and webhook URLs, avoid presenting TrustBadge as government identification, and promptly report suspected compromise. Access to the package may be suspended when a world creates security, legal, or platform risk.
07 Enforcement
We may rate-limit, unverify, suspend, or ban accounts, world tags, keys, sessions, or administrators when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or respond to platform changes. Administrative actions are logged. You may appeal an action by joining the official Discord and opening a support ticket.
08 Third-Party Services
TrustBadge depends on VRChat for account information, Discord for support and optional webhooks, MongoDB infrastructure for service records, Cloudflare for delivery and security, and hosting providers. Those services operate under their own terms and may change or become unavailable. TrustBadge is not affiliated with or endorsed by VRChat Inc. or Discord Inc.
09 Availability and Warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, API limits, network failures, platform changes, or account-status delays can produce temporary failures. World owners must provide a safe fallback.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustBadge's operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost access, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities; world moderation decisions; or third-party conduct arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid directly for the service during the prior twelve months.
11 Changes and Termination
We may modify the service or these Terms to reflect security, legal, operational, or platform changes. Material updates will change the effective date on this page. Continued use after an update means acceptance. You may stop using TrustBadge at any time and may request record removal through the process in the Privacy Policy.
12 Support and Notices
For support, appeals, legal notices, or questions, join the official TrustBadge Discord and open a ticket. Do not post account IDs or private details in a public channel.
